update 1/16/2004 GRIP INC. - new album "Incorporated"
to be released in march!
There
are some tried and tested virtues that have undeservedly been pushed
into the background in this world full of impatience and hectic bustling.
The classic motto “it takes time to do a thing well” has
never been less valid than it is today. Yet as far as Waldemar Sorychta,
guitarist and creative mind behind the international line-up of the
metal act, Grip Inc., is concerned, music still has a lot to do with
inspiration, enthusiasm and an unhurried pace – which is the reason
why he allowed four years to pass before he called his proven team together
again to set about working on some new material. Says Waldemar Sorychta:
“The moment for a new album just hadn’t arrived, simply
because nobody was really dying to record one. When recording becomes
a matter of routine, it no longer makes sense.”
That
the production of the band’s fourth album, Incorporated, actually
took place at the best possible moment in summer 2003 becomes apparent
from the very first note, and the atmosphere during the recordings at
the Woodhouse Studios can hardly be referred to as ‘routine’
but was marked by infectious enthusiasm. Miracle drummer Dave Lombardo,
only recently reactivated by thrash icons Slayer for their tour and
studio activities and justly considered the prototype of the contemporary
heavy metal skinsman, works his drum kit with the usual verve, combining
tough rhythm attacks with intricate grooves and tasteful breaks. Vocalist
Gus Chambers, that charismatic textbook frontman, unleashes the whole
range between tough shouts and melodic vocal lines. More than ever,
Grip Inc. rely on the amazing flexibility of his voice. Sorychta himself,
last but not least, acted as composer, arranger, engineer and producer
on the current album and was the nerve centre of the whole project.
It is his unmistakable handwriting that marked the three previous releases,
The Power Of Inner Strength (1995), Nemesis (1997), and Solidify (1999),
and it also characterises Incorporated. As an artist and musician who
was personally involved in the recording process, Sorychta isn’t
really in a position to predict the metal fans’ reactions to Incorporated,
but his comment indicates that the fire is burning inside the band again.
“I can only say this much: the band can’t wait to go out
on stage again, in other words: Grip in top form,” he enthuses.
Experts will confirm his evaluation.
Grip
Inc. ( Gus Chambers, Waldemar Sorychta and Dave Lombardo) have finished
the final mixes of the their fourth album entitled simply " Incorporated".
The album was again recorded and mixed at Woodhouse studios, Germany.
It was produced by Waldemar Sorychta and features many surprise guest
appearances. It is simply the finest grip inc album to date and 3+ years
in the making. Look for the Cd to be released in early 2004 on Spv records
Europe and JVC records Japan. An American Record company has not yet
been secured...more details soon..

Grip Inc. record prior to rehearsals with band member Dave Lombardo...
look for the band to record a metal masterpiece this summer at Woodhouse
Studios, Germany and expect an early 2004 release on SPV records in
Europe, JVC in Japan and an as-of-yet unnamed label in the United States/Canada

Update 01.27.07: King’s X press release January ‘07
KING’S
X TO ENTER STUDIO WITH MICHAEL WAGENER
Legendary hard rockers King’s X will
be entering the studio with producer Michael Wagener (Skid Row, Motley
Crue) at his Wireworld Studios in Nashville, TN on January 31st to record
its 10th, as of yet-untitled studio album.
“We’ve been writing individually,
giving our songs to each other,” said guitarist/vocalist Ty Tabor.
“We’ve been living with the music for a little bit, so it’s
hard to tell how it’s going to shape up. So far, I’m extremely
happy with some of the stuff we have, especially three or four of Dug’s
songs. I think they’re some of the best songs he’s ever
written.”
This will be the second album in a row
with Wagener manning the boards. Pleased with the results of 2005’s
Ogre Tones, Tabor and his bandmates are heading into the studio more
prepared and creative than ever before.
“We really enjoyed working with him
on the last album,” said Tabor. “There was no pre-production
on anything and we were pleased with how it turned out. This time, we’re
doing some pre-production, some writing together and we’re going
to try to outdo ourselves. We’re going in this time with a complete
and prepared attack.”
Expect a summer/early fall release on Inside
Out Music.

row’s “The Revolutions Per Minute Tour” with Nashville

This tour is still in support of “Ogre Tunes” on Inside
Out Records. Kings X will also head to Europe in March of 2007 for their

will join as special guest on next years KING DIAMOND North American
tour 2008. The official bill is KING DIAMOND, KREATOR, as well as support
by LEAVES' EYES and CELLADOR — The tour which is scheduled to
kick off March 22, 2008 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida — officially
goes on sale today, August 6 through all normal ticketing outlets. Mille

Update 04.20.06: Master
of Chaos tour cancelled in El Paso
Morbid
Angel and World management would like to announce that after having
the show moved three times because of venue difficulties, there
is unfortunately not enough time to properly promote the moved
shows scheduled for El Paso at the House of Rock, we therefore
regretfully would like the fans to know that there will be no
show in El Paso on April 28th, . We apologize to all ticket holders
for all the confusion but it was just not possible this time around
to do a well promoted quality show.
Update 03.14.06: In further recognition of the European
release of yesterday's "Altars of Madness" Jewel disc
containing Morbid Angel's first ever 1989, Rock City, Nottingham
England live video performance, Morbid Angel would like to announce
that Earache Records will also release a limited edition of 1500
Picture discs. This Picture disc contains a new never before on
vinyl track listing including " Lord Of All Fevers And Plagues".

From Will Palmers Press Release:
Few albums struck a chord within the ears and minds of the late
'80s underground metal scene like Morbid Angel's 'Altars of Madness'
did at the end of the decade. 'Altars of Madness' set a new precedent
for metal bands to reach and, along with fellow Floridians Death,
pretty much laid down the blue print for what we think of when
we now hear
the words "Death Metal", thus setting the standard by
which virtually all extreme metal over the course of the next
decade would be judged.
Now upgraded to Dual Disc format, this latest
release of 'Altars of Madness' not only contains remixes of "Maze
of Torment", "Chapel of Ghouls" & "Blasphemy"
but also, on the flipside, boasts the first ever official DVD

08.18.04 Morbid Angel and World Management would like
to clear the air with the announcement that after more than
15 years and 9 albums and one EP the band and Earache Records
have parted ways on future recordings. We will be exploring
all interested labels as well as other options and and will
make a decision on a new release for 2005 in the next few months.
Currently we are still in the final phases of tour commitments
for Heretic. We wish Earache continued success in selling our
catalogue and have an obvious professional vested interest in
this. We wish to thank all of the Earache employees past and
present for their work on Morbid Angel’s releases. We
are looking forward with excitement to the future.

the shows for Morbid Angel in South America (Mexico, Chile and
Columbia ) have been moved to September 4-11. Bass and Vocals

After
many problems and much discussion with the people around me,
the people I trust. I have decided it is necessary for me to
step away from Morbid Angel. It has been a long trip with a
lot of great shows and I have made many friends along the way.
The Morbid Angel fans that not only excepted me ,but reveled
in my being a part of the band, have been the greatest thing
about my time in Morbid Angel, they are the reason I came back
to the band.
There
are many reasons for me leaving the band, personal reasons,
musical reasons and very logical reasons. All of which will
stay between me and the band . Morbid Angel existed many years
before I came along and will for many more I am sure.
I
have enjoyed playing with some great musicians and touring with
some great bands and meeting some incredible people all over
the world. To all these people I say "Thank You" and
we will meet again.
I
am not done with the music business by any means, I will now
be moving into other areas of the business, things I have always
enjoyed, but didn't have time for. I will be moving into much
more recording ,production and management, so any bands interested

Stage at Roskilde Festival...
Morbid Angel is confirmed to play the main stage at this year's
massive Roskilde Festival in Denmark. Morbid Angel will appear
on the main stage on Saturday July 3rd, 2004 at 5:00pm to play
an unprecedented 90-minute set. Other artists scheduled to perform
this amazingly diverse festival include David Bowie, Korn, Morrissey,
N*E*R*D, and Pixies.

out shows including a well over 1000 capacity sold out show at

and Ackerkocke who appeared on the London show. Morbid Angel continues
this week in Greece for their first ever 2 highly anticipated

on the star-studded list, Azagthoth is described as: "One
of the most crazed characters to emerge from Florida's late-Eighties
death metal scene... A frenzied player, he combines furious,
angular power chords with ripping leads, but his songs never

NEW TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE SOUNDTRACK CD
Morbid Angel's blazing new track "Enshrined By Grace"
will be featured on "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Album",
the soundtrack to the upcoming remake of the classic 70's horror
flick. Morbid Angel is in good company on this soundtrack, alongside
such heavyweights as Pantera, Hatebreed, Fear Factory, and Meshuggah.
The soundtrack hits stores on Halloween. Starring Jessica Biel
("Seventh Heaven"), Eric Balfour (HBO&Mac226;s
"Six Feet Under"), and Erica Leerhsen ("Anything
Else"), and directed by Martin Nispel, the movie hits theaters

Update 12.10.07: World Management is happy to announce that after their successful dates in Japan at this year’s Loud festival in Tokyo and Osaka, Nile is well on their way across Europe and bringing “Ithyphallic” to the fans. Nile’s continuing tour dates in late 2007 as well as another run across the USA in early 2008 are just the beginning of touring which has lasted throughout 2007 and will continue well throughout 2008 all over the world. Update 03.27.07: World Management is excited to report
that Nile is confirmed on this year’s OZZFEST. The first Death
Metal band to play OZZfest and right in time for the new album on
new Label Nuclear Blast. Come early as the band will be playing
on the second stage. The other artists LAMB OF GOD, HATEBREED and
LORDI are among the first acts to be revealed for the 2007 Ozzfest
tour. LAMB OF GOD and LORDI will perform on the main stage with
headliner OZZY OSBOURNE, while HATEBREED will headline the second
stage, supported by NILE, MONDO GENERATOR, ANKLA, CIRCUS DIABLO,
and THE SHOWDOWN. The 24-city tour begins July 12 in Seattle. More

the Beginning on the newly formed Nile Records imprint through Megaforce
Records. It is a collection of early recordings, combining both
rare early ep's into a single collectible package. It features the

metal's most promising band.

four critically acclaimed-albums, a few EPs and several world tours
under their belt, NILE has raised the bar for extreme metal bands
musically, lyrically and conceptually. Their brutal and withering

of will and dedication to their craft,

Formed

update 02.10.06: Nile and World Management are happy to
announce another leg of the Annihilation of the Wicked Tour Europe
Part II. Nile will also be appearing at several Festivals this Summer
and these dates will be announced soon. The band can’t wait
to get back to Europe to play for all their European Fans. Support
on these date is from Yrkoon. Nile are currently finishing up their
USA dates and heading to Japan for three shows as previously announced.
